Tamil Nadu's 22nd Chief Minister, sworn in on 10 May 2026. In the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's very first Assembly election, the party surged to become the single largest in the House with 108 seats — a historic breakthrough — and C. Joseph Vijay now leads a broad coalition alongside the Congress, IUML, VCK and the Left. It is the first non-Dravidian-led government Tamil Nadu has seen since 1967.
